We had dinner in this restaurant twice. It was really very good for a reasonable prices. They cook very good noodles, kottu and try a burger and it was also very delicious.

This amazing family has been a real hot rock in unawatuna! Even after 13 years they still rock Unawatuna! Eat & Drink here! Family run place that deserve all the love!

We spent almost everyday and night here. Rani looked after us day and night she was amazing and made us feel very welcome. The prices here are very reasonable and the view is amazing. Make sure to try some local curries here they are the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Thank you for being so accommodating

Best place to chill at the beach, affordable, convenient for parents.We have been in Unuwatana beach for a few days now. We found Hot Rock to have the nicest spot to simply chill on the beach the entire day. In our opinion it's the best because their tress stretch the furthest into the beach. We just like trees shade more coming from Dubai where shaded trees aren't as common. But if you don't have a preference between umbrellas and trees this would matter much to you.We found the food good and drinks very affordable. They don't accept card payments though, but this isn't an issue as we would spend the whole.day here for 10000 rupees.The beach chairs are close to the see so if you sit in front you can watch the children play in the sea without leaving your seat, a luxury when you have babies.We went there a few times, on the first occasion we didn't have any cash, only card. They suggested we come back the next day to pay. These people are very kind, no hang ups. Love it!Listen it's not a 5 star restaurant. So don't expect to pay cheap prices and have a Michelin chef rock up and stack your biryani rich for you in the shape of a star fish. The tables and chairs stand on the beach over night, so there will be sand and yes your plates and cutlery won't match. I feel some comments about this place is a bit harsh.
